Passengers on Delta Air Lines can now benefit from ad-free in-flight access to YouTube.
The partnership with the video platform is available to passengers in all travel classes on aircraft with in-flight WiFi. Millions of hours of YouTube content can be accessed via seat-back screens or personal devices.
Announced in January 2025, the Delta/YouTube partnership is the first of its kind in the aviation industry. As an additional benefit, Delta SkyMiles members will receive a free 14-day trial of YouTube Premium on their personal devices when they travel on domestic flights and connect to Delta Sync WiFi.
Julieta McCurry, Delta’s Vice President of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, said:
This partnership was born from a simple but powerful insight: our customers love YouTube. As two leaders in our respective spaces, each with a legacy of innovation and a deep commitment to serving as agents of human connection, Delta and YouTube are uniquely positioned to deliver an unmatched customer experience – one that meets you where you are and helps you discover more of your world.
Delta has more than 165,000 screens across its fleet of over 930 aircraft. The YouTube partnership represents another stage in its IFE investment strategy, as the American airline strives to enhance its cabin experience offering.
A new collaboration with Hughes Fusion has enabled Delta to launch Delta Sync, the world’s first cloud-based IFE system. The 96-terabyte platform is more than 50 times more powerful than the average IFE and can provide a suitable bandwidth for inflight YouTube streaming. Bluetooth connectivity is another additional advantage, allowing passengers to connect their own headphones and accessories in-air if desired.
Join us at Aviation Festival Americas 2026 to discuss the future of IFE and the cabin experience.
