In a recent interview, Patrick Roux, MD & CEO, SkyTeam joined for a five-minute interview looking at the alliance’s vision for growth and its strategic focus as the official alliance partner of the upcoming World Aviation Festival.
The alliance will be welcoming SAS in September, and although it is growing, Roux places a substantial emphasis on becoming the most integrated alliance rather than the largest. Unpacking the strategies in place to support this, Roux highlighted two clear priorities. The first, leveraging technology and digital tools for a seamless customer experience, and the second, fostering meaningful collaboration between members.
This commitment to cooperation underpins SkyTeam’s partnership with World Aviation Festival. During the conversation, Roux explained:
“An alliance is about sharing best practices, about exchanging on new ideas and World Aviation Festival is a perfect example of where you can meet with all the industry experts. We believe a lot in ecosystem, and we don’t want to to create alone. We want to co-create with our airline members, but also with some partners in the industry, […] maybe to find new partners, and to also reflect with the industry about what we are doing and our strategy.”
Touching on the alliance’s innovative approach to sustainability and digitisation, Roux also shared insight into SkyTeam’s Digital Spine platform and the Aviation Challenge accelerating the adoption of best practices. For more on these, watch the short interview below.
