This month, Pegasus Airlines launched a new feature using artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the travel experience of its customers. The airline will play AI-generated announcements in the local language on flights to Spanish, Arabic, and Russian-speaking countries.
The technology was developed by the Pegasus Innovation Lab and “harnesses AI for voice cloning and multi-language announcement systems,” digitally replicating the voices of male and female Pegasus captains.
As airlines push to offer an increasingly personalised experience for their passengers, the ability to offer dynamic multilingual announcements will enhance customer experience ensuring clearer communication and fostering a more inclusive travel environment.
The feature was debuted on 24th September on the Seville route where passengers were greeted in Spanish. Now, the AI-generated announcements will extend to flight information, weather, destination, the captain’s name, and flight duration.
Announcing the new initiative, Pegasus Airlines said it hopes to:
“Offer guests a personalised and innovative flight experience by addressing them in their native languages.”
At World Aviation Festival, Pegasus Airlines’ CEO, CIO, CCO, Director of Marketing and E-commerce, and Revenue Management and Pricing Senior Director will be sharing their insights on stage. Book your ticket now to be a part of the discussion!
