As part of a broader focus on digital transformation, Cochin (Kochi) International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) has selected Progility Technologies to elevate its digital infrastructure. Progility specialises in unified communications, collaborations, data, and cybersecurity

The Kerala based airport recently awarded the contract to Progility, which will supply and install “state-of-the-art” communications and audio-visual equipment throughout Terminal 3.

Progility will provide Flight Information Display System (FIDS) and Centralized Content Management System (CMS). This will supply passengers with real-time flight status updates, including arrivals, departures, gate changes, delays, and baggage claim information. The content will be managed and distributed through the CMS which will allow the airport to update every screen from a single platform in real time.

CIAL expects the technology to boost operational efficiency, improve the passenger experience, and streamline existing systems.

Speaking on being selected for the tender, Julian Wheatland, CEO of Progility Technologies said:

“We are proud to be part of the next phase of CIAL’s digital transformation and of the trust that has once again been placed in us. This technology represents the future of air travel, by seamlessly delivering an enhanced passenger experience, stronger operational efficiency and new revenue opportunities.”
