Cathay Pacific will be using SITA’s technology to increase adoption of Cloud applications. The pair announced an agreement to move Cathay to SITA Connect Go which will enhance network connectivity across 51 global airports.
The new infrastructure will increase bandwidth up to five times, combining dual Internet connectivity. This will support the airline’s transition to Cloud applications which will enhance efficiency and scalability.

SITA Connect has been helping us deliver efficient operations at airports for several years and we are confident that this renewed partnership with SITA will allow us to significantly increase the network capacity of our existing network in the most cost-effective way, enabling us to further enhance our operational efficiency and allowing us to continue focusing all our efforts on our customers.”
Importantly, this shift will support the continued use of legacy systems while the airline looks to keep pace with rapid digitalisation. Speaking on the challenge this presents, Sumesh Patel, SITA Asia President Asia Pacific said:
