Philippine Airlines has partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) Transit Tours to offer bus excursions to connecting passengers.

Travellers transiting through the capital of Manila can now book a tour through the airline’s official website or the LovePH mobile app. Open to passengers from visa-free countries, the scheme will help travellers fill layovers of eight hours or more while showcasing the cultural heritage of Manila.

Four tours are offered: a trip to the old Spanish colonial district of Intramuros, the National Museum, Solaire Resort Entertainment City, or Okado Manila. Each tour includes an hour of free time and an hour with a DOT-accredited guide. An excursion costs around US$50 and includes any ticket prices.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said:

We express our warmest gratitude to our colleagues in the private sector for supporting our initiative to maximise the potential of our tourist spots and extend an invitation to foreign travellers who are just passing by.

Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport recorded a record 52.02 million passengers in 2025, with December 2025 becoming the busiest month in its history. Air India and Air Canada now fly direct to Manila, greatly increasing the airport’s international links, while national carriers Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific continue to grow at pace.

Join us at Aviation Festival Asia 2026, where we’ll be joined by Philippine Airlines President Richard Nuttall.
