Air France-KLM has selected Accenture for its migration to the cloud. Already, the transformation has enhanced operations and strengthened resilience.
Today, Accenture announced it will work with Air France-KLM in a multi-year initiative migrating the group’s digital applications from its three proprietary data centres to the cloud. This move will empower the airline group with access to real-time data, supporting efficient decision making.
The shift will also give the airline group the digital agility required to build business resilience and effectively leverage data and artificial intelligence. Air France-KLM expects this will enhance operational functions across all aspects of the business from passenger transport to aircraft maintenance.
With Accenture’s help, the airline group has defined a common operating model with a governance process to streamline the move. According to the press release, this has already contributed to the successful deployment of 350 applications.
Speaking on the announcement, Pierre-Olivier Bandet, Executive Vice President Information Systems, Air France-KLM said:
“This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our ongoing digital transformation. By leveraging cloud and AI, we can build more flexible and efficient operations that enhance agility and performance across the organisation. Our work with Accenture will help us unlock new opportunities to streamline processes, optimise decision-making, and leverage data to continuously improve the travel experience for millions of customers.”
