Air Cambodia have selected AirFi’s wireless inflight entertainment (IFE) solution for use across its fleet. The platform allows passengers to stream entertainment directly to their own devices, enhancing the onboard experience without investing in costly seatback screens.
Laura Rösges, Chief Executive Officer at AirFi, said:
Air Cambodia operates a mixed fleet serving a wide range of routes, and that’s exactly where our streaming IFE platform adds value. Our technology is designed to deliver a consistent onboard experience across different aircraft types, while giving airlines the flexibility to scale and evolve their digital offering over time.
AirFi say they now work with 15 airlines across Asia and have equipped more than 280 aircraft with their portable solution. Recent partners include Vietnamese leisure carrier Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
Air Cambodia has undergone a significant transformation in recent years and is planning for further expansion, ordering up to 20 Boeing 737-8s at this year’s Singapore Airshow. In September 2025, the airline also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chinese supplier COMAC for up to 20 C909 regional jets.
The carrier is central to the Cambodian government’s plans to attract 30 million tourists to the country in 2030. 6.7 million international visitors entered the country in 2024, an increase of 23% from 2023. The opening of an airport beside Cambodia’s renowned Angkor Wat temple complex has further contributed to the tourism drive. Market analytics firm Statista now forecasts that the flights market in the country will expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.71%.
