Working to reimagine the relationship between loyalty and in-flight experience, Delta have announced passengers will enjoy an elevated seatback screen experience with Delta Sync’s new smart TV features. This is unlocked by SkyMiles Membership and available on select flights this fall.
Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President – Customer Experience Design explained the inspiration behind the innovation:
“Our customers have told us what they want to do on board: watch the latest box office hits, engage in brain-stimulating activities and games, stay connected with loved ones and be productive with work and other commitments. It’s about giving customers the freedom to discover their next favourite moment at 30,000 feet – and it unlocks the minute you become a SkyMiles Member.”
According to the press release, many of the features are designed to feel like streaming services customer enjoy at home on the ground. Alongside a host of seasonal collections as well as newly released films and TV shows, Spotify-curated mixtapes will be available with a seasonal take, like the “Scarf Season” Mixtape available in October and November. On select long-haul domestic aircraft customers will even have the option to enjoy live TV.
Pushing to place passengers and their expectations at the forefront, Delta’s latest offering is set to reshape the connection between loyalty and in-flight experience.
