At World Aviation Festival, Sunny Chen, Marketing Director, United Robotics Group joined for a brief interview to discuss the role of robotics in travel’s changing landscape. United Robotics Group brings together cutting-edge technology and robotic experts from both the social and industrial world with the common ambition of empowering humanity with technology.
As the industry evolves, the use of robotics and automation is becoming increasingly prevalent. From back office to front office, Sunny highlighted the various applications of the technology including warehouse automation and food delivery robots.
Noting that the process of adopting robotics into the industry is not always smooth, Sunny identified three major challenges hindering its widespread adoption: high initial investment, the presence of legacy systems, and social preconceptions influenced by science fiction.
Looking to the future, United Robotics Group’s Marketing Director also touched on how the intersection of robotics and aviation will change. Pointing out that robotics are broadly used for repetitive, simple tasks, Sunny explained this is developing into a more human-centric experience focused around collaboration between people and robots.
