Air France have unveiled 3D renders of the 29,000-square-foot lounge opening at the heart of New York’s newest airport terminal.

Planned as a hub for international airlines in NYC, New Terminal One is a US$9.5 billion renovation project designed to modernise the Big Apple’s aviation infrastructure. In line with the project’s vision for more seamless, luxury travel, Air France have announced they will transfer all JFK operations to New Terminal One and open a lounge there.

Access to the lounge will be restricted to La Première and business class passengers, as well as eligible members from the Flying Blue loyalty programme, sister airline KLM, and other SkyTeam partners.

400 guests will be able to eat, drink, and relax across two floors. An exclusive dining room for La Première customers will showcase the best of French cuisine, with a chef to be announced. All passengers will be offered French wines and champagnes, while the airline also promises:

The lounge experience will be complemented by the elevated passenger journey at the New Terminal One, featuring cutting-edge technology, world-class retail and dining, and modern amenities.

Air France launched the La Première cabin in 2025, responding to the demand for luxury travel experiences. New York is one of the airline’s most popular destinations: in peak season, the carrier operates as many as six daily flights to JFK alone.

Lounges are becoming an increasingly important battleground for airlines seeking to win more premium passengers and loyalty members. Southwest recently announced they were constructing their first-ever lounge network in partnership with Chase Bank, while American Airlines are also charting an ambitious lounge renovation strategy.
