FLYR Labs and Flyr AS strategic partnership. “Providing customers with the right product, at the right price, and in the right channel.”

At the start of the week, FLYR Labs and Flyr AS announced their strategic partnership. The collaboration between the two coincidentally named, digitally minded partners focuses on increasing the airline’s revenue and optimising cost.

FLYR Labs specialise in using artificial intelligence (AI) and data to enable AI-based revenue maximisation and optimise systems. The growing company integrates AI-base pricing, forecasting, and retailing capabilities.

Flyr AS is a Norwegian low-cost passenger airline headquartered in Oslo. Founded in 2020, it is the world’s first pure native IATA ONE Order airline. Already, Flyr AS boasts an efficient platform that reduces distribution and sales costs by around 50 per-cent compared to competitors. The airline is technologically minded, with an effective digitised system resulting in high numbers of booking made through mobile phones.

Discussing the strategic partnership, Brede Huser, CEO Flyr said:

“As a digitally minded airline, we are excited about the strategic partnership with FLYR Labs. Their capabilities align perfectly with our own state-of-the-art IT platform […] This strategic partnership will enable us to extend our platform with the latest cutting-edge technologies across our business and provide our customers with an improved user experience through more tailored offerings, while at the same time optimizing our commercial performance and cost-savings through better decision-making.”

The partnership will provide the airline with AI-base pricing and forecasting capabilities across products, and access to an enhanced booking engine with next-generation retailing capabilities. We can expect to see developments in dynamic ancillary pricing capabilities aimed at maximising conversion and revenue with optimisation at different customer touchpoints.

Alex Mans, founder and CEO of FLYR Labs said:

“It’s a pleasure to work with an airline that actively pursues technology for the betterment of its business and its customer […] Our Revenue Operating System will help Flyr’s decision-making, resulting in improved outcomes across its commercial functions and more personalised customer experiences.”

Revenue, data, and technology will be discussed in depth at Aviation Festival Asia across a range of airlines and tech solutions providers.
